HOW IT WORKS
Our Forklift Tracking solution is based on a beacon-based location platform. Thanks to the completely cable-free infrastructure, our solution has a total cost of ownership (TCO) that is a fraction of other solutions on the market. This solution is ideal for real-time location and tracking of forklifts within warehouses. The data provided by the platform can be used for mission optimization, uptime monitoring, fleet control.
Fixed battery-powered BLE beacons are installed along aisles or in open areas of warehouse, by using racks and walls as physical supports. The beacons connect to each other in a self-organizing mesh network, which allows to manage and monitor the entire infrastructure with one (or a few) gateways.
The forklift is equipped with an on-board device consisting of a BLE scanner with a WiFi interface, capable of connecting to the WLAN typically installed inside the warehouse.
Raw data coming from the on-board device are processed by the localization software, which provides real-time position of the individual forklifts, through APIs, for easy and seamless integration with application software or third-party systems. Forklift Tracking solution can be additionally integrated with a mesh-based Asset Tracking platform, without any additional hardware, for a complete cable-less localization platform for warehouses.
