BlueBeacon Maxi is a long-life battery-powered Bluetooth Low Energy beacon. With second-generation firmware version, it simultaneously supports multiple technologies: iBeacon, Eddystone (full support, with GATT and EID), Quuppa.
BlueBeacon Maxi is the perfect choice when operating life is a main concern. Typical scenarios are proximity mobile applications in retail or tourism, industrial applications, indoor positioning.
BlueBeacon Maxi is powered by two standard AA alkaline batteries, easily replaceable, and it comes in three enclosure versions: with flanges for wall-mounting (with snap-fit cover or back-screws) or without flanges (with back-screws).

iBeacon technology creates a small area of detection for Bluetooth 4.0 enabled mobile devices. BlueBeacon devices uses iBeacon licensed technology, and have been certified by BlueUp to meet Apple Proximity Beacon Specifications

Eddystone is a protocol specification that defines BLE formats for proximity beacon advertising, with different frame types that may be used individually or in combinations. BlueBeacon Mini is certified from Google for full support for Eddystone specifications.

The Physical Web is an open approach, developed by Google, to enable quick and seamless web-based interactions with physical objects and locations. The Physical Web uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) because of its ubiquity on mobile devices, and is based on Eddystone-URL format.

BlueBeacon Board is compatible with Quuppa Intelligent Locating System, a powerful technology platform for novel location based services and applications. It enables real-time tracking of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) smart tags and devices, with accuracy even down to a few centimeters.
