HOW IT WORKS
Our Medical Equipment Tracking solution is designed to meet the needs of localization and traceability of medical assets within hospitals, nursing homes, and retirement homes. Thanks to mesh technology, our solution does not require any type of cabling within the hospital structure. Furthermore, the mesh network constitutes a robust communication backbone, so the system can be completely independent from the hospital’s IT infrastructure.
All assets that need to be tracked (electromedical devices, infusion pumps, stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, …) are equipped with a low-power tag.
In the environments (rooms, corridors, clinics) special battery-powered antennas are installed that detect the presence of the tags and send the information, through the self-organized mesh network formed by the antennas themselves, to the processing and management software. If the customer needs it, we can create the infrastructure with devices with EN60601-1-2 certification, compliant with the EMC requirements for medical devices.
The processing and management software allows to monitor the installation and includes a positioning engine that computes the position of the individual assets. A flexible and customizable set of APIs allows for an easy and seamless integration with application software or third-party systems.
