Nurse Call
Improved response to emergency situations
In the event of emergencies or accidents, the tracking system enables a faster response, sending immediate help to nurses in difficulty.
Reduced risk of aggression
By tracking nurses, potentially dangerous situations can be quickly identified and timely intervened.
Immediate alert in case of health problems
If a nurse is inactive or does not move for an extended period, the system can send automatic alerts to superiors or emergency teams, allowing for rapid intervention.

Nurse Call contributes to the safety of healthcare workers. In the event of an emergency or dangerous situation, nurses can use the system to request immediate assistance from colleagues or hospital security, increasing protection against possible assaults or accidents at work. The nurse call system can also be integrated with other technologies, such as real-time tracking and monitoring systems, to provide a complete view of the situation and further improve safety and operational efficiency.

HOW IT WORKS

Our Nurse Call solution uses smart battery-powered tags. Tags can be both wearable (assigned to each patient) or fixed (installed in specific points, like near the bed or in the bathrooms). Tags are equipped with alarm button, that can support multiple call events (single click, double click, long pressure) to address different type of emergency calls.

A fixed infrastructure of antennas is installed in the building. Either mesh or BLE technology are possible. With mesh technology, the antennas (anchors) organize themselves in a self-healing mesh network that constitutes a robust communication backbone, so the system can be completely independent from the hospital’s IT infrastructure. Additionally, this solution does not require any type of cabling within the hospital structure, since the antennas are battery operated.

With BLE technology, BLE antennas connect to the local network of the hospital (either WLAN or LAN) and must be powered by the mains.

When button is pressed on tag, the signal is transmitted from tag through the antennas to the software platform, that also includes a localization engine. An alarm event with position estimate is created and forwarded t external applications using HTTP or MQTT.
