Presence Control
Occupancy control systems are technologies used to detect the presence or absence of people in specific areas of the building, to monitor the occupancy of spaces. The data collected is used to optimize the use of resources such as lighting, heating, ventilation and security, improving energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

HOW IT WORKS
Our Presence Control solution can be based on either on BLE or on Mesh technology. The choice of the best-fit technology is based on the analysis of the technical, functional, operational and environmental requirements of the project. Typically, Mesh is preferrable for outdoor applications (building sites, tunnels) or retrofit installations, while BLE is used primarily for building with existing IT infrastructure.
Energy-efficient battery-powered tags are worn by people (workers, visitors, …). Tags can be provided in different shapes, like badges, pendant tags, wristbands.
A fixed infrastructure of antennas is installed in the building.
With mesh technology, the antennas (anchors) organize themselves in a self-healing mesh network that constitutes a robust communication backbone, so the system can be completely independent from the hospital’s IT infrastructure. Additionally, this solution does not require any type of cabling within the hospital structure, since the antennas are battery operated.
With BLE technology, BLE antennas connect to the local network of the hospital (either WLAN or LAN) and must be powered by the mains.
Raw data coming from the antennas are processed by the localization software, which provides the presence and position data of the individual persons through APIs, for easy and seamless integration with application software or third-party systems.
