BlueUp develops beacons and sensors based on Bluetooth Low Energy technology: our BlueBeacon series offers one of the widest choice of proximity beacons on the market. Our beacons are internally designed (from antenna to firmware) and made in Italy.
BlueBeacon devices support the most advanced beacon firmware on the market, the first BLE-beacon firmware worldwide to offer simultaneous support of the following technologies: iBeacon (released by Apple), Eddystone (released by Google, with full support of new Eddystone specifications, including new configuration GATT and encrypted Eddystone-EID), Quuppa Emulation Mode (a location technology with sub-meter accuracy), Sensors (a BlueUp proprietary frame for sensor data advertising).
BlueBeacon beacons are compatible with all mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) supporting standard Bluetooth 4.0 (or later).

QUUPPA-COMPATIBLE TAGS

Our beacons and tags based on nRF52 Nordic SoC have been certified by Quuppa as fully Quuppa-compatible and can be provided with special firmware based on Quuppa libraries. Quuppa Compatible BlueBeacon tags have native support for all Quuppa SW features, including back-channel for commanding and configuration, OTA FW upgrading, Quuppa proprietary channels.
The Quuppa Approved marking is granted to Quuppa Compatible tags after they have passed Quuppa testing program to ensure they meet the high-quality standards for software, hardware, and mechanics.

WIREPAS MESH TAGS AND GATEWAYS

BlueBeacon devices based on nRF52-series BLE SoC support Wirepas Mesh protocol. The Wirepas Mesh protocol is a wireless network protocol that uses a multi-hop, self-organizing, and decentralized design. Decentralized network topology enables extremely dense network deployment. Wirepas Mesh protocol is used for indoor localization solutions with cable-less infrastructure: all devices (mobile tags and anchors) are battery operated.

BEACON MANAGEMENT

BlueUp provides a set of tool for management, configuration and monitoring of BLE beacons.
Moreover, BlueUp can provide the following services:
- technical support for mobile applications development (for iOS and Android), based on Bluetooth Low Energy, iBeacon and Eddystone technologies;
- turn-key BLE-beacon infrastructures: planning, design, supply, installation and maintenance services;
- consultancy for the design and implementation of BLE beacon-based systems and solutions.




iBeacon technology creates a small area of detection for Bluetooth 4.0 enabled mobile devices. BlueBeacon devices uses iBeacon licensed technology, and have been certified by BlueUp to meet Apple Proximity Beacon Specifications

Eddystone is a protocol specification that defines BLE formats for proximity beacon advertising, with different frame types that may be used individually or in combinations to create beacons that can be used for a variety of applications. BlueBeacon devices are certified from Google.

BlueBeacon-series beacons are compatible with Quuppa Intelligent Locating System, a powerful technology platform for novel location based services and applications. It enables real-time tracking of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) smart tags and devices, with accuracy even down to a few centimeters.
