TagX gets IP67 certification and new variants

We’re excited to share some important updates about TagX, our asset tag for Smart Tracking, perfect for tracking pallets, pallet trucks, equipment, containers, and more.

TagX Gets IP67 certification

TagX has now been certified with an IP67 rating, providing protection against dust and water. This means you can now use it outdoors or in any application where high protection from environmental and atmospheric elements is needed.

New TagX variants Coming Soon

But that’s not all! We are expanding the TagX range with new variants that offer advanced features, opening up more use cases:

  • TagX LED: includes two high-visibility LEDs (red and yellow)
  • TagX BUT: features a call button
  • TagX SHT: equipped with a temperature and humidity sensor

Technology compatibility

The new TagX versions will support all our technologies:

  • TagX BLE: ideal for proximity applications and RSSI-based RTLS using Bluetooth Low Energy. It’s compatible with BlueUp LocateBLE and supports iBeacon, Eddystone, and custom BLE advertising for motion and sensor data.

  • TagX Quuppa: built on Quuppa libraries, it’s perfect for Quuppa RTLS infrastructures with sub-meter accuracy. It supports back-channel communication, OTA firmware updates, and proprietary channels, including BlueUp AccuRTLS.

  • TagX Wirepas: fully compatible with Wirepas Mesh 2.4GHz. This ultra-low-power protocol uses multi-hop mesh networks and supports Wirepas Positioning Engine (WPE) and BlueUp MeshCube.
